1. MEET INFORMATION FORM

There is a charge of $10 per gymnast, for each gymnast on your team. Please fill out and return the enclosed form. Make checks payable to SC-USAG. This money is used to offset the cost of operation for the state program as deemed by state chairman, and any other expenses necessary, up to and including awards for the state meet.
Competition tax is due by September 1, 2007.
MEET BIDS
Meet bids are not required at this time. However, a meet information sheet is required to be on file with the state chairman if you plan on hosting a competition.
PRE-MEET INFORMATION
At least 4-6 weeks prior to a competition, meet directors must send out an information packet which should include the following: a tentative schedule, equipment to be used, number of awards to be presented, meet entry fees, hotel information, and admissions fees.
MEET ENTRIES
Meet entries must be postmarked at least 3 weeks prior to the meet. Coaches should include their USAG Club number on the form for athlete verification. Gymnasts should be listed and grouped by level using one page per level or skipping lines between levels. Forms should be legible.
MEET SANCTIONS
Meet directors should obtain their sanctions as soon as possible to reduce conflict. A request for sanction must be done a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of the competition or clinic. Late requests for sanctions are generally fined.
(MEET) SANCTION REPORTING
Meet directors are reminded to send in the sanction report form within 24 hours after the meet. This should include the NSF (National Scholarship Foundation) fee of $1 per gymnast. Review your sanction packet thoroughly and follow the directions. If you end up canceling your meet, send in the sanction report anyway, stating that the meet was canceled with a brief reason why.
MEET FORMALITY AND HOSPITALITY
Meet directors should follow the guidelines stated in the USAG Rules and Policies.
GYMNASTS ATTIRE AT MEETS
Gymnasts must be in appropriate competition attire for the entire meet, including warm ups and the awards ceremony.

COACHES ATTIRE AT MEETS
Coaches must have closed toed shoes (no sandals), slacks, warm up bottoms, or hemmed shorts, and a collared shirt or a team T-shirt at all competitions. No headgear or hats!
AWARDS AT COMPETITONS
Individual Event Awards - given to minimum of 50% of gymnasts per class and age group.
All - Around Awards - given to a minimum of 50% of gymnasts per class and age group.
Participant Awards - all competing gymnasts regardless of class or age, shall receive a participant award. (Certificate, etc.)
Team Awards - given to at least 50% of teams entered in the team competition. A Team is defined per class as:
Level 4... Top 3 scores per event.
Level 5. .. Top 3 scores per event.
Level 6 .. Top 2-3 scores per event, up to Meet Director
Level 7 .. Top 2-3 scores per event, up to Meet Director
Level 8 .. Top 2-3 scores per event, up to Meet Director
Level 9/10 . Top 2-3 scores per event, up to Meet Director
QUALIFYING SCORES FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
In order for a gymnast to compete in the state championships, he must achieve the below score at least one time during the meet season. The score must have also been achieved at a state qualifier competition for this score to be acceptable.
Level 4 (ALL AGE GROUPS) ..40.00 ALL-AROUND
Level 5 (ALL AGE GROUPS) ..38.00 ALL-AROUND
Level 6 (ALL AGE GROUPS) ..36.00 ALL-AROUND
Level 7 (ALL AGE GROUPS) ..36.00 ALL-AROUND
Level 8 (ALL AGE GROUPS) ..36.00 ALL-AROUND
Level 9-10 (ALL AGE GROUPS) .. ...36.00 ALL-AROUND
SPECIAL ANNUAL AWARDS
Coach of the Year Award Nomination of said, should be an individual who is not only building a program that develops fine gymnasts, but also fine citizens. Voting will take place annually at the State Meet. Award to be presented at annual State meeting.
Gymnast of the Year Award Nomination of said, should be a gymnast who you wish to be recognized for gymnastics, academic, or personal excellence. Submit your gymnasts completed form after regional championships. Award to be presented at state clinic.
Senior Recognition Award We will recognize any and all senior gymnasts at the State Meet, and present them with a gift (watch, plaque, etc.), paid for from the state account. Their coach should be prepared to give a short speech highlighting a brief list of accomplishments. Coaches of these gymnasts should let the state chairman know this at least 2 months prior to State Meet.
